Dadirri Walk

We would love you to join us for our first Dadirri Walk. Dadirri is a word of the First Peoples of the Daly River area. Dadirri is an Aboriginal practice of Deep Listening and Quiet Still Awareness.”

Miriam-Rose Ungunmerr-Baumann, an Aboriginal elder from the Daly River region, says,

“Dadirri is the greatest gift we can give to fellow Australians. Dadirri is very important in connecting to nature and making strong connections to fellow community members, as well as, tapping into the deep spring that is within all people.

The event starts at 2:30 PM, meeting at the Distillery Creek picnic ground. To access this area drive west on the Great Ocean Rd in Aireys Inlet – turn right onto Bambra Rd. Follow Bambra Road until you see the signs for the National Park (Distillery Creek Rd is straight ahead). Continue on Bambra Rd by making a left hand turn into the National Park. In a short distance, the picnic ground will be on the left.

The loop walk will be around the 1.5km Nature Trail. The walk is suitable for people of all fitness levels. It is a flat and well-made walk. We will be stopping for several devotionals along the way.

Please dress for the weather and wear good walking shoes. In the event of heavy rain or other severe weather events, the walk will be postponed to the following Sunday, July 23, 2023. A notice will be posted on this website. So please check the website before leaving for the walk.
