Torquay Christmas Workshop
December 4th 2018 Torquay Christmas Workshop
Each year the Torquay congregation gets together and creates an Advent Workshop for children
of Pre-School and Primary School age to begin preparing for the approach of Christmas.
There are Christmas songs to sing and the nativity stories to tell.
Another important part of the Christmas preparation are the workshop art and craft activities.
This year congregation members prepared eight activity tables, including Christmas tree decorations,
Christmas chains, dove kites, decorated Christmas biscuits, angels and more. We see children
busily making Christmas cards (below).

These activities were followed by a sausage sizzle and an icy-pole and great camaraderie.
An exciting afternoon was had by all.
The annual Advent/Christmas Workshop at Torquay Uniting Church has been a well attended
feature of the lead up to Christmas for children in the area for many years
